FL RPG: The Swindler

The Swindler is Shadowy and Persuasive. He has an almost hypnotic charisma and knows how to use it to make a profit. Many swear allegiance to Hell, and work as unlicensed sprifers, or soul-snatchers.

Deep Insights: When you read a person, you may ask questions from the normal list, and also from the list below:

  • What was your character's lowest moment?
  • For what does your character crave forgiveness, and of whom?
  • What are your character's secret pains?
  • In what ways is your character's soul vulnerable?
Marionette: When you have time and intimacy with someone, you can plant a command inside their mind and roll +Persuasive. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 1. At any time, if your victim has failed to fulfill your command, you may spend 1 hold to:
  • Inflict 1-Wounds, armor-piercing (NPCs).
  • Inflict 1-Stress (PCs).
  • Force -1 to their next roll.
On a 6 or below, or once they fulfill your command, your influence over them is lifted.

Mesmerized: When you successfully manipulate a person, you may make them forget what happened. This effect lasts until they next lay eyes on you.

Dark Thoughts: When you attempt to read someone, you may roll +Shadowy instead of +Persuasive.

Never trust a pretty face: When you attempt to pick a pocket, you may roll +Persuasive instead of +Shadowy.
