FL RPG: The Enquirer

The Enquirer is an investigator of criminal activities. He knows the meaning of the cryptic graffiti on the walls of dark alleys, the tattoo-language called the Illumination, and the subtle differences between suffocation and asphyxiation.

Interrogator: When you successfully read a person, you may always ask "Is this person telling the truth?" for free.

It was the Colonel:
If you catch a PC in a crime, take +1 Hx with them.Should you decide to liberate the perpetrator of a crime you've solved, be they PC or NPC, they owe you a favor.  Should you turn them in, the police will give you a substantial reward, to be detailed by the GM.

In the Dining Room: When you closely study a situation or person, roll+Watchful and ask the GM a question from the list below. On a 10+, the GM will give you clear detail. On a 7-9, they will give an impression. Take +1 forward when acting on the answers.

  • What happened here recently?
  • What is about to happen?
  • What clues should I be on the lookout for?
  • What here is useful or valuable to me?
  • What here is not what it appears to be?
On a 6 or below, take 1 point of stress.

With the Wrench: Whenever you handle or examine something interesting, roll +Watchful. On a hit, you may ask the MC a question from the list below. On a 10+, the GM will give you clear detail. On a 7-9, they will give you clues:
  • Who handled this last before me?
  • Who made this?
  • How was this last used?
  • What seems to be troubling with this?
  • How is this connected to the case at hand?
On a 6 or below, take one point of stress.

A New Case: At the beginning of a session, you may roll +Watchful. On a hit, hold 1. At any time, you may spend your hold to be at the scene of a crime with the proper knowledge to solve it. On a 10+, take +1 to your next roll. On a miss, the GM holds 1, and may spend their hold to send you to the scene of a crime without the ability to solve it.
